The Great Schools Initiative is holding a four week campaign for public office bootcamp. Students will learn campaign basics, message development and delivery, fundraising strategies, communication and media strategies, applicable campaign finance and election laws. SEPT 13 AT 6-8 PM: CAMPAIGN MATH AND GRASSROOTS ORGANIZING TO WIN
This lecture will focus on how to calculate your win number, how many doors you will need to knock, and how to start building your volunteer base to hit your door knocking goals.

SEPT 20 AT 6-8PM: FUNDRAISING
One of the biggest struggle candidates face when trying to determine if they should run for office is how will they pay for it. The truth is your network is larger than you think. GSI is here to help you identify your fundraising base, how to manage call time, how to take donations and what your ask should look like.

SEPT 27 AT 6-8PM: COMMUNICATION
In this section, we will talk about how to build your website, when to launch your website, yard signs, postcards and online communications with your voters.
4.
OCT 4 AT 6-8PM: CAMPAIGN PITCHES
This is our last meeting. In this period, we want you practice presenting your two minute stump speech. Your stump speech is the 2 minute speech you give to voters, donors and potential supports on why you are running for public office and your credentials. You will be doing this in small groups. Then we will we spend the last hour answering your questions.
